The Utility Lineworker Career Exploration Series is a focused workforce development initiative led by DeSoto County Schools designed to introduce students to the essential and high-demand field of electrical line work. This structured cohort model provides students with direct exposure to the utility industry, including power distribution, infrastructure maintenance, and the critical role lineworkers play in supporting our communities.
Through a series of cohort sessions, industry partner engagement, and hands-on learning opportunities, students gain practical insight into technical skill requirements, safety standards, and career entry pathways.
