DeSoto County Schools is proud to announce that Career and Technical Education (CTE) students earned a remarkable 520 nationally recognized industry certifications during the 2025-2026 school year, further demonstrating the district's commitment to preparing students for success in college, careers, and the workforce.

These certifications validate students' technical knowledge and skills in high-demand career fields and provide valuable credentials that are recognized by employers nationwide. Through rigorous coursework, hands-on training, and industry-aligned instruction, students earned certifications across a variety of career pathways.

Certifications earned during the school year included:

• ASE Certifications in Automotive Technology

• NCCER Core in Construction, Welding, and Advanced Manufacturing

• NCCER Carpentry Level 1 in Construction Technology

• NCCER Welding Level 1 in Welding Technology

• SolidWorks Certification in Engineering

• CompTIA Certifications in Information Technology

• CompTIA CertMaster Tech+

• CompTIA Network+

• CompTIA CertMaster

• Certified Logistics Associate (CLA)

• Certified Logistics Technician (CLT)

• Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) Certification in Business, Marketing, and Finance

These nationally recognized credentials provide students with a competitive advantage as they enter the workforce, pursue postsecondary education, or continue technical training. Many of the certifications earned by students are aligned with regional workforce needs and industry demands, helping ensure graduates are prepared to contribute to Mississippi's growing economy.
